Judy Loggins Ketchum, age 61, of Dahlonega, Ga. passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014.
Judy was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area. She retired after 20-plus years of service with United Community Bank, and was currently working as an auditor for Hamilton State Bank. She was a thoughtful and generous Christian lady that loved her family and spoiled her grandson.
She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Loggins.
Judy is survived by her mother, Mollie Loggins, Dahlonega, Ga.; son, Roland Ketchum, Dahlonega, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Greg Corral, Gainesville, Ga.; grandson, Oliver “OK” Corral; brother, Ed Loggins, Oakwood, Ga.; sister, Annette Loggins and her life partner, Shandra, Dahlonega, Ga.; and nieces, Kathryn Loggins and Madison Koeneke. A number of other relatives also survive.
A memorial service for Judy is scheduled for Saturday, February 15, 2014, 12 p.m. at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, Ga., with a reception immediately following in the dining hall. Rev. JR Fields will officiate.

Timmy Lee Sosebee

Timmy Lee Sosebee, age 56, of Murrayville, Ga. passed away February 8, 2014
Timmy was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area. He was a loving, Christian husband as well as a talented wood worker and musician.
The son of the late John Dee and Marguerite Albertson Sosebee, Timmy is also preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie David and Cecil Sosebee.
Mr. Sosebee is survived by his wife, Tina Sosebee; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jill Sosebee, Clayton, Ga.; brother, Ricky Sosebee, Clayton, Ga.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Dale and Jim Schreck, Cumming, Ga., Brenda and Bill Butler, Lula, Ga.; sister-in-law, Dixie Sosebee, Dahlonega, Ga.; mother-in-law, Evelyn Beyerlein, Dahlonega, Ga.; and father-in-law, Jerry Self, Sr., Dahlonega, Ga. Several nieces and nephews, and a number of other relatives also survive.

Delores Alice Bakey
Formerly of Dahlonega
Delores Alice Bakey was born Dec. 3, 1930 to Dorothy Gagnon and Joseph Bakey in Chicopee, Mass., and raised by her aunt in Bridgeport, Conn. Delores, widowed for 24 years, was married to William Murphy Perry of Edison, son of William C. Perry and Edith M. Perry.
She is survived by her daughters, Denise Perry Carson and Gail Perry Peterson; sons-in-law, John Kevin Carson and William King Gutshall; grandchildren, Kristen Diane Carson, William David Carson, John Dylan Carson, Dana Peterson Evens and Robbi Peterson; and great-grandchildren, Lauren Evens and Hanna Evens.
She was a dedicated wife and mother and will be missed by all. We celebrated her life Tuesday, Feb. 4, in the sanctuary of Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, an offering in her memory may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Church.

Cora Bell Harris

Cora Bell Harris, age 76, of Dahlonega, Ga. died Monday, January 27, 2014, at her home surrounded with her loving family at her bedside.
Cora Bell was born in Suches, Ga., but spent most of her married life as a resident of Lumpkin County. She was a faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. Cora Bell was a dedicated and devout woman of God. She shared a close and intimate relationship with her Savior. She read her Bible daily and fervently prayed for her family, friends and church family. Cora Bell loved going to church and worshipping the Lord. As in the words of Paul in 2 Timothy 4:6-8 “...the time of my departure is at hand. (7) I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: (8) Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which The Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto them that love His appearing.”
Cora Bell kept her faith until the end of her journey on this earth. In her last days, she had a song of praise in her heart knowing she would live again.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Wayne Harris; her mother, Vandora Seabolt; grandson, Henry Ray Blackwell; sister, Ruby Dowdle; brother, Gene Seabolt; and daughter-in-law, Jeannie Harris.
She is also preceded in death by her loving husband, Ernest Ray Harris. They had a close and loving marriage for 53 years.
Mrs. Harris is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jerry Anderson, Dahlonega, Ga., Regina and Wesley Blackwell, Cleveland, Ga., and Renee and Rusty Hamilton, Dahlonega, Ga.; sons and daughters-in-law, Timmy and Gail Harris, Dean and Louise Harris; sons, Willard Lee Harris and Jeff Harris, all of Dahlonega, Ga.; brother, Robert Wallace, Blairsville, Ga.; sister, Adell Dills, and sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Leon Presley of Dahlonega, Ga.; 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Cora Bell were held Thursday, January 30, 2014 at Concord Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Roger Dunagan and Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiated. Mollie Gaddy Loggins, age 81, of Dahlonega, Ga. passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014 at her home in Dahlonega, Ga. following an extended illness.Mrs. Loggins is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Loggins and daughter, Judy Ketchum.
Mollie was born March 19, 1932 to the late Hardy and Mabel Gaddy. She was born in North Carolina but lived over 75 years in the North Georgia area, and was retired after being a homemaker and working in many different capacities throughout her adult life.
Mrs. Loggins is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Kris Loggins, Georgia; daughter, Annette Loggins and partner, Shandra Norman, Dahlonega, Ga.; grandson, Roland Ketchum, Jr., Dahlonega, Ga.; granddaughters, Melissa D. Corral and husband, Greg, Gainesville, Ga.; Madison Koeneke, Dahlonega, Ga.; Kathryn Loggins, Scott, La.; great-grandson, Oliver Corral, Gainesville, Ga.; sisters, Helen McDonald, Dahlonega, Ga.; Eva Jane Osborne, Carnesville, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Wiley Reed, Pendergrass, Ga.; brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Betty Gaddy, Lula, Ga.; sister-in-law, Jean Gaddy, Gainesville, Ga.; brother-in-law, Frank Loggins and sister-in-law, Martha Loggins, Mary Ester, Fla. A number of nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. The family wishes to thank the excellent doctors, nurses, aides, counselors and chaplains who took expert and loving care of Mollie.
Funeral services for Mollie were held Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, Ga. Rev. JR Fields officiated. Interment followed in Mount Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega, Ga.
