Carolyn Ann Middlebrook

Resident of Dahlonega

Mrs. Carolyn Ann Middlebrook, age 57, of Dahlonega, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Middlebrook was born in Atlanta, March 28, 1956 and had lived in Lumpkin County for several years. She was a homemaker and was a member of Cradle Mountain Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

She was the daughter of the late Julius and Martha Crawford Fambro and was also preceded in death by a sister, Janice Fambro; and a step-son, William Middlebrook Jr.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, William Eugene Middlebrook, Dahlonega; step-daughter, Laura Middlebrook, Rockmart; brother and sister-in-law, Julius Jr. and Kathy Fambro, Gainesville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jerome and Connie Kitchens, David and Yvonne Lingerfelt, Dahlonega; nieces, Tonya and Greg Trammell and Amanda and Mark Crane; nephews, David “Punky” Lingerfelt, Casey and Ben Kitchens; great-nieces and great-nephews, Kyle and Kiersta Trammell, Breanna and Braden Crane and Carson Lingerfelt. A number of other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Middlebrook were held Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Cradle Mountain Baptist Church in Lumpkin County. Rev. Dale Abernathy officiated.

Interment followed in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County. Online condolences may be made at www.banisterfuneralhome.net.

Mitch Fromm

Resident of Dahlonega

Mr. Mitch Fromm, age 55, passed away at his residence on December 4, 2013.

Mitch was raised in Oneonta, NY. He then moved to South Florida, where he met his wife and his daughter was born. While living there, Mitch worked as an EMT and a real estate appraiser. He and his family moved to Dahlonega nine years ago so that his young daughter could grow up in this small town that he considered very beautiful. Mitch was working as both a realtor and a real estate appraiser at his two companies, REO Sellutions and Accuval. He was a hard-working, devoted husband and a loving father. He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing games and watching movies.

Mitch was preceded in death by his father, Hal Fromm.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Susan Fromm, Dahlonega; daughter, Samantha Fromm, Dahlonega; mother, Charlotte Fromm, Raleigh, NC; sister, Marcy Osborn, Raleigh, NC; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Debbie and Doug Redwood, Dahlonega, and Barbara and Robert Tyburczy, Greenville, S.C.; nieces, Brytni Osborn, Apex, NC, and Kelsi Osborn, Greenville, N.C.; and nephews, Daniel Redwood, Dahlonega, and Jason Tyyburczy, Jacksonville, Fla.

Memorial services were held for Mitch on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Jeffrey Owen Butler

Resident of Dahlonega

Jeffrey Owen Butler, 51, of Dahlonega, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Chestatee Regional Hospital in Dahlonega. Jeffrey was a lifelong resident of Dahlonega and was of the Baptist Faith. He loved supporting his Georgia Bulldogs and had a passion for photography.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Artie Lou Ledford, and Bill and Loudell Butler.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Jean Butler of Dahlonega; brother, Ricky Butler of Dahlonega and numerous other relatives.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Dahlonega Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt.
