Clarence Wilson McClure, age 60, of Gainesville, Ga., died October 23, 2011.

Clarence was the son of the late Walter McClure and Delsey Goss McClure. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Verbie Grizzle McClure; sisters, Joyce Young and Joan Dodd.

He was retired from New Holland Mill in Gainesville, Ga.

Mr. McClure is survived by his sisters, Minnie Landers, Gainesville, Ga., Ida Price, Dahlonega, Ruthie Green, Gainesville, Ga., Jannie Marchbanks, Cleveland, Ga., Gladies Tullis, Landrum, S.C., Nancy Hamilton, Cleveland, Ga., Helen Smith, Clermont, Ga; brothers, Junior McClure, Dahlonega, Willie McClure, Cleveland, Ga., William McClure, Gainesville, Ga., Johnny McClure, Dalton, Ga. and Wayne McClure, Cleveland, Ga. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega, Ga.

Rev. Charles Grant will officiate.

Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Lumpkin County.

The family will receive friends all day Wednesday until 9 p.m. at Banister Funeral Home in Dahlonega.
