Tommy Fouts

Tommy Fouts, age 55, of Dahlonega, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Tommy was born in Cumming, Ga. April 24, 1957. He was a diesel mechanic with Leon Jones Feed and Grain.

He was fond of Thomas Garrett and Kelli Ledford and his friends at “The Dog House” where he would visit each morning and socialize.

He was the son of the late J.D. and Luevain Tatum Fouts.

Tommy is survived by his wife, Teresa Rider Fouts, Dahlonega; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Kayla Fouts, Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Derek Disharoon, Dahlonega; brother, Jerry Fouts, Gainesville, Ga. Eight grandchildren and a number of other relatives also survive.

Tommy was cremated and a memorial service was held Saturday, September 1, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Rev. Ronnie Sosebee and Rev. Terrry Whitmire officiated.

Marvin Neal Anderson

Mr. Marvin Neal Anderson, age 57, of Dahlonega, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, following a short illness.

Neal was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County. He was co-owner of White Pump Sales and Prime Pump and Well. He was also a member of Cavender Creek Baptist Church in Lumpkin County.

Neal is survived by his wife, Patricia Martin Anderson; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Crystal Anderson; daughter, Erica Anderson; parents, Marvin and Barbara Anderson; brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Donna Anderson, Clark and Ronna Anderson; granddaughter, Cora Lynn Anderson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill and Cassie Martin, Charlie and Tammy Martin, Robert Martin, and Carol Martin, all of Dahlonega, Edward Martin, Washington; mother-in-law, Alice Martin, Dahlonega; nieces and nephews, Sara Beth Anderson, Cara Ann Anderson, Zack Anderson, Mallory Anderson, Lauren Torres and her husband, Marcos, and their children, Mason and Allie, Jason Martin, Dee Autry, and Andrew Cantrell. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 31, 2012, at the Cavender Creek Baptist Church.

Rev. Stephen Adams, Rev. Lyman Caldwell, and Rev. Guy Lee officiated.

Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Jeffrey Francis Staron

God Bless Jeffrey Francis Staron, 56, a man of few words, who passed away Monday, August 27, 2012 at his home in Dahlonega. He leaves us with grace and courage from his battle with cancer.

He is the son of Edith and John Staron. He is survived by many loving family members and numerous dear friends.

A memorial services will be held Saturday September 8, 2012 at St. James Catholic Church in Mukwonago, Wis. Visitation from 9-11a.m. Service at 11 a,m. Those attending please wear blue in honor of Jeff. In lieu of flowers please send donations to American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org/

Willie Mae Wilbanks

Mrs. Willie Mae Wilbanks, age 54, of Dahlonega, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at her home following an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilbanks was born in Cobb County, Ga. July 28, 1958. She had lived in Lumpkin County for the past seven years and was a former resident of Rockmart, Ga.

She was the daughter of the late Andrew Jordan and Lillie Mae Oliver Jordan and was also preceded in death by husbands, Jerry Wilbanks and William Craig; sisters, Nancy Sutton and Martha Sensenbrenner; and brother, David Lee Jordan.

She is survived by sons, Kenneth Craig, Dahlonega, and Andy Craig, Buford, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, April and Tim Pruitt, Dahlonega; grandchildren, Austin Pruitt, Haley Craig, Kristopher Craig, Brandon Craig, and Jason Pruitt; brothers, James Jordan, Cartersville, Ga., William Jordan, Cumming, Ga., Bobby Jordan, Dallas, Ga., Wayne Jordan, Adairsville, Ga., Ronnie Jordan, Daniel Jordan, and Darrell Jordan, all of Rockmart, Ga.; sisters, Beatrice Martin, Acworth, Ga., Vickie Turner, Maryville, Tenn., and Velvet Strode, of Iowa. Numerous other relatives also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilbanks were held Thursday, August 30, 2012 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.

Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming, Ga..

Mrs. Willie Mae Wilbanks, age 54, of Dahlonega, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012, at her home following an extended illness.
