Mrs. Susan Summer Ory, 62, of Murrayville passed away on the morning of Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Ory was born May 22, 1951 to the late John H. and Anne A. Summer in Atlanta, Ga. She attended North Georgia College and the University of Alaska. She was an active member of St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church, where she was a founding member of Daughters of the King, a prayer and service group, and the Piecemakers, a sewing and knitting group. She was also a past president of the Episcopal Women’s Club. Susan previously resided in Charleston where she was an active member of Old St. Andrew’s Church, founding several church organizations there. While in Charleston, she started her own business called Keystrokes, after moving to Murrayville she was instrumental in bringing the family farm back into operation.
Survivors include her husband James W. Ory, Murrayville; brother Grayson and his wife Kristin Gwaltney, Tenn.; son and daughter-in-law Jonathon and Sarah Ory, Chicago, Ill.; Son Jon C. Ory, Folly Beach, S.C.; daughter Patricia S. Ory, Charlotte, N.C.; grandson and her pride and joy, Jonathan H. Ory, Chicago, Ill.; an uncle; numerous cousins; and her beloved pets Scout, Jingles, Jake, Jessie, Rowdy, Murphy, and Annabell .
She was a presence wherever she went, generous to a fault, and a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.
She will be missed .
Funeral services were held Monday, August 19, 2013, at Saint Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church in Dahlonega.

Dora Mae Woody Grizzle
Mrs. Dora Mae Woody Grizzle, age 73, of Dahlonega, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
Dora Mae was the daughter of the late Ray and Lounell Duff Woody, and was a lifelong resident of Lumpkin County where she had retired from Fieldale Farms. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and special friend.
Mrs. Grizzle is survived by her children, Jessie Earl Grizzle, Dawsonville; Dello and Leisha Grizzle, Murrayville; Gail Ramey, Braselton, Ga.; Debra and Merl Posten, Dahlonega; Gene and Linda Grizzle, Dahlonega; Dora “Ty-Ty” and Todd Miller, Gainesville; sisters, Carrie Lee Shope, Randy and Howard Green; best friends, Mary Lou and Fannie Mae; special aunt, Illa Mae Duff. 15 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Dora Mae were held Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega.
Rev. Jimmy Wilbanks, Rev. Tommy Ross, and Rev. Marion Burnette officiated.
Interment followed in the Mount Hope cemetery in Dahlonega.
