BREAKING NEWS: Accident shuts down Auraria Road

The driver of a dump truck was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon after he apparently lost control of his vehicle on the corner of Auraria and Burnt Stand roads.
The dump-truck overturned on the roadway and was then reportedly struck by a passenger vehicle.
"The person in the passenger vehicle was not injured," said Capt. Jason Stover of the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office. "The person in the overturned vehicle was."
The accident occurred shortly before 2 p.m.
Local emergency responders arrived on the scene and worked to free the driver from the truck.
Troopers from the Georgia State Patrol shut down a section of the road as they investigated the scene.
The extent of the injuries of the driver is currently unknown. The names of those involved has yet to be released.
