STAFF REPORT
Four locals were injured in a violent head-on collision on Morrison Moore Parkway Thursday evening.
Robin Davis was driving past The Dahlonega Nugget office with her two teenage children in tow when her Chevy Monte Carlo collided with Ronald Chambers' Chevy S-10 pickup.
Traffic immediately came to a halt as emergency responders arrived on the scene and worked to free Chambers from the wreckage.
The 57-year-old suffered the worst of the injuries as he had to be flown via helicopter to Atlanta Medical Center.
He is now reportedly in stable condition and will be undergoing surgery for internal injuries, according to officials from the Lumpkin County Sheriff's Office.
Chase, 35, and her children suffered lesser injuries but were still bruised and battered in the collision.
They were rushed to Chestatee Regional Hospital.
It is currently unclear who was at fault in the accident. The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the incident.

For example, if Mr. Fill-in-the-Blank says something you don't agree with, don't tell the world that Mr. Fill-in-the-Blank is a no good dirty scoundrel who cuts off people in traffic and has owed you $20 since 1997. The Nugget asks you to please just stick to the issues at hand. That way we'll keep the debate lively, without getting personal. And remember, above all else, keep it civil and directed at the topic that's being discussed. We encourage your feedback and dialog, all comments will be reviewed by our Web staff before appearing on the Web site.
